This original design from Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu is named i anuli /i , which means joy in the Igbo language of Nigeria. The mask is beautifully embellished with colorful recycled glass beads, featuring a bird motif on the forehead. The artisan carves the mask by hand from rubberwood, an African hardwood.
